From a newspaper in Ireland:

DEATH OF A KERRY LADY IN THE STATES (July 8, 1912)

Her many friends in Kerry will learn with regret of the death of Mrs. T J Moriarty, of Easthampton, Mass., U.S.A., after a few weeks’ illness. The deceased lady, whose maiden name was Hannah Griffin, hailed from Knocknahow, near Dingle, and belonged to one of the most respected families in the West.

Her bereaved husband, Mr T J Moriarty, is one of the most progressive and prominent business men in Easthampton, and all who know him, deeply sympathise with him in his irreparable loss. On his last visit to Ireland, a year or two ago, we had the pleasure of a visit from him, and a more kindly or a more straightforward Irishman it would be hard to find.

Along with the citizens of his own country and the country of his adoption, we tender to him and his popular brother, Lieutenant P J Moriarty, of Brooklyn, New York, and his other relatives our sincere condolence in the loss they have sustained. Lieutenant Moriarty, who, by the way, is a Tralee man, takes an active part in Irish affairs on the other side.
